Purpose
Provide advice and guidance on how to create a space for reviewing and reflecting on our lives.

Exercise
Our acknowledgement space should be a special place where we can go to when we want to reflect.
Although reflection can and will happen anywhere in our lives, it is important to have a space that we can use to get into the mindset of planning and reflecting.
There are two aspects of the space that you should consider when developing it: the physical and mental.
Physical
This involves finding a place and atmosphere where you can think freely without fear. The power of associating reflection with a specific place can be helpful and aid in the relaxation of your mind.
Some examples of physical acknowledgement spaces are:
-
Outside while walking/jogging
-
At home in your bedroom
-
In the bathtub
-
In an empty room
-
In the bus/train/car while commuting
From the examples above, you can see that really any physical space can become your acknowledgement space if you associate the space with having a relaxed mindset and reflection.
Mental
The space for the mind is anywhere we can find peace in the mind for reflection.
Ensure that if you need or like to write things down while reflecting, you have a mobile phone or notepad available.
It is important that mentally you are relaxed, fearless, comfortable, and determined. The mental state we adopt will be greatly affected by our physical state, so it is important that we are physically in an appropriate location.
Exercises such as mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, and visualization can all be used to help you obtain the right mindset for reflection.
