F3 The prioritisation process

Purpose:
Learn how to decide what changes are important.
Explanation:
Once we accept that change occurs in our lives, it is important to consider the process of prioritizing change. In this exercise, we will explore some of the factors to consider when trying to prioritize change.
Prioritizing Change
With so many changes in our lives, we cannot focus on all of them. Having more control over what we focus on can give us greater agency in our lives. We may decide that some changes are not worthy of our time and others are of great importance. Reflecting on these decisions ensures that we are prioritizing the changes that are most relevant to our lives, which can add a lot of value.
Key Questions:
-
How does it affect my actions?
-
Does it affect any of my long-term goals?
-
Is there anything I can do to mitigate the change?
Requirements for the Prioritization Process:
-
A good level of self-reflection
-
An appropriate tool for analyzing change
-
An understanding of direct and indirect impact
-
An understanding of time management and timelines
-
An acceptance of the scope of change and the elements outside of your control.
