Purpose: Learn how to use learning goals

Explanation: Learning goals are commitment goals that involve a commitment to a task or tasks and cannot easily be evaluated with a simple yes or no answer. They require a level of focus, discipline, and consistency to achieve. In order to effectively use learning goals, it is important to:

  1. Adopt a learning mindset: Understand that the process of achieving these goals may be complex and involve multiple goals and components.

  2. Research: Find out more about what you want to do. This can include internet searches, reading articles, speaking to experienced people, and learning from others.

  3. Make more goals: Break down the complex learning goal into smaller learning goals with regular, achievable milestones.

  4. Reflect regularly: Organize a routine reflection of the progress of the learning goal and its subsets.

  5. Review and challenge: Regularly review and justify both the goals and the methods used to achieve them. It is important to ensure that they remain relevant and effective as circumstances and beliefs change.
